All we do is AWS! Zuggand opened for business in January 2015, but we started our cloud journey as a customer in 2012 when our leadership team was the executive IT team for the State of Arizona. It’s this customer perspective and experience that really helps us understand what it takes to successfully migrate, optimize and innovate using AWS!
Aaron Sandeen
Aaron Sandeen was the Chief Information Officer for the state of Arizona. When he took on that role, the state's infrastructure had some serious issues. Aaron and his team started to experiment with AWS and fell in love. He worked with AWS to perform a Well-Architected Review to help get the state started on their journey. It was critical for him and his team to leapfrog from where they were and to do it the right way. This is where the Well-Architected Review Program from AWS really helped initiate change. Instead of trying to invent best practices or standards they leveraged AWS's.
As Zuggand's Chief Executive Officer, Aaron is the crazy, mad scientist who drives innovation and growth. Whether it is developing new ideas to increase customer value or cultivating Zuggand's internal culture, Aaron is the one leading the charge.

Kiran Chinnagangannagari
1 Suitcase + 1 Way Ticket + 0 Places to Stay + 0 Jacket = Brutal Determination!
Back in 2008, Kiran moved from India to Detroit to get his Master’s degree and start a new life. He packed up everything he had into one suitcase and moved to the US without even a place to stay! Once he got to Detroit, he stood on the airport curb, in the snow, talking to random people until some guy offered to let him stay with him. That's Kiran in a nuteshell - he can absolutely figure out how to make just about anything work!
As Zuggand’s Chief Technology Officer, Kiran is the brilliant tech genius architecting all of our customer’s solutions. From AWS Aurora-to-XRay, Kiran leads Zuggand’s technical team to empower customers to leverage AWS capabilities to their full potential.

Phil Manfredi
Phil's journey to co-founding Zuggand began with a music education degree from The University of Texas. This really has little relevance here other than the fact he loves to play piano or drums every night. After knowing Aaron for more than 10 years, Aaron finally offered him a job as the Chief Strategy Officer and Deputy CIO for the State of Arizona. Knowing the many technology challenges he knew the State faced, he turned to Weird Al Yanovick, of all people, to help him draft the Statewide Strategic IT Plan. As Zuggand's Chief Operating Officer, Phil is the grease that keeps the engine moving! Whether it's driving Marketing efforts, ensuring customer projects are successful, or being the moderator when his partners are having another philosophical debate, Phil is the one that makes things happen.
